A Fresh Approach to Colour

  • 26 Oct 2024
  • 10:15 AM - 3:00 PM
  • The Meeting Room, Grove Library building, 1 Leake St, Peppermint Grove. Free Parking beneath the building.

Colour Activities from the COLOUR LITERACY PROJECT with Paul Green-Armytage and members of the Colour Society of Australia Western Australian Division.

Colour Literacy is the ability to recognize and understand colours in the many roles that colours play in our lives. It is learning to see how colours in their different forms affect each other when they are seen together and how to describe what we are seeing so that other people can “see” it too. The day’s activities will include some exercises from the Eye Opener series that have been developed for the Colour Literacy Project and that have been tested successfully with primary school students and with adults. Some new exercises will be tested for your comments.

We are asking that you come in pairs, you and a friend, with some homework to follow the session, so you can practise together what you have learned.

WHERE: The Meeting Room, Grove Library building, 1 Leake St, Peppermint Grove. Free Parking beneath the building.

WHEN: Saturday 26th October, 10.15am until 3pm. Numbers are limited and we need you to pair up with a child 8+, friend, colleague or spouse so you can do some homework together and reinforce what you have learned.

Please register your “pair” asap with the Secretary, apmrm@aapt.net.au, ph. 0419-923-229.

The cost is $20 each for non-members of the Colour Society. Pay at the door and BYO lunch. More refreshments provided.
